Debutante filmmaker Ayaan Mukherji has become frustrated with news columnists as it reads – ‘Wake up Sid is all about a plain handsome guy falling in love with a not-so good looking woman.’ Oops! Just imagine how Konkona Sen would’ve felt about this.

When it comes to Ayaan, he clearly admits, “We’re really wondering who cooked up such a galling take on our film. ‘Wake up Sid’ is something about a younger man dating a woman much older than him. But it’s completely away from what the rumours are going on airs now…”

Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma in lead roles, Producer Karan Johar of Dharma Productions has confirmed about film’s release on October 2.

Much appositely, it’s been a long time question about the unusual casting of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen. Ayaan states that once he saw Ranbir in Saawariya, he had got his Sid. When it comes to Konkona Sen, she has got the traits of charismatic appeal with more maturity in her looks.
